On September 12, one locally transmitted case of Covid-19 was confirmed and registered in the Nanjing city of Jiangsu province.

Two inbound symptomless cases were newly reported in the province.

Another hospitalized Covid-19 patient was discharged, while an asymptomatic carrier was released from medical observation.

Fourteen confirmed cases (seven local and seven inbound) are still undergoing treatment at designated hospitals, while 40 asymptomatic carriers (15 local and 25 inbound) are currently under medical observation in isolation.

As of this update, China's list of virus transmission zones stands at 1,145 high-risk, 1,372 medium-risk and 208 low-risk areas.
