It was learned on February 27 that Changzhou will initiate the program of ‘National Demonstration City of Quality.’ The Annual Quality Report of Changzhou 2013 was issued at the same time.

Changzhou is going to foster three to five Mayor’s Quality Awards and about 20 Chief’s Quality Awards as a reservation for China Quality Award and Jiangsu Quality Award. Meanwhile, Changzhou will propel large- and medium-sized enterprises to implement high-performance management model, and guide 20 leading enterprises to achieve quality awards at all levels. As the chief quality officer training system will be established with the goal of producing 300 chief quality officers, enterprises are encouraged to hire these chief quality officers. The filing of 1,000 large- and medium-sized companies’ credit of quality will be completed within 2014, so as to foster eight enterprises with quality credit at provincial AA-level or above. Quality supervision and inspection will be further intensified in fields of food, medicine, supplies for women, children and seniors, building materials, important consumer goods, emergency supplies, etc.
