The 5th Gaogong Hydrogen Power Industry Summit commenced on June 12th in Wujin, Changzhou. Over 600 industry experts gathered to discuss the present and future of the hydrogen energy industry. Qiao Junjie, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Changzhou Municipal Committee and secretary of the CPC Wujin District Committee, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech.
This prestigious summit, known for its focus on the hydrogen power industry, adopts the theme "Endless Frontiers, Fearless Actions." It aims to stimulate discussions across the entire industry chain, including materials, equipment, components, fuel cells, systems, and vehicles. The goal is to strengthen collaboration between upstream and downstream sectors. The summit comprises five specialized sessions, featuring roundtable dialogues on fuel cell company business models and growth strategies amid internal competition in stack systems. Additionally, the 2023 Blue Book of China's Hydrogen Fuel Cell Industry will be unveiled during the event.
At the opening ceremony, Changzhou showcased its Hydrogen Bay initiative, while the Jiangsu Hydrogen Equipment Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Center was inaugurated.
In 2022, Changzhou's new energy industry exceeded 500 billion yuan in output value, with over 340,000 new energy vehicles produced and sold. The city has cultivated a complete industry ecosystem encompassing generation, storage, transmission, and utilization. It ranks 5th nationwide in terms of industrial concentration and 1st in terms of investment attractiveness. Currently, Changzhou is actively advancing the development of its Hydrogen Bay to secure a leading position in the hydrogen energy industry, aiming for a substantial growth to the scale of tens of billions.
