On July 23^rd, Xu Guanghui, member of the standing committee of Changzhou Municipal Community of CPC and the Party Secretary of Changzhou Science and Education Town, met with Jaco Fok, general manager, Open Innovation, Royal Dutch Shell plc. (commonly known as Shell).  

Xu briefed the development of Changzhou and the Science and Education Town. He said that Changzhou has been paying great attention to technological innovation and talent attraction, so as to further promote the strategy of innovation-driven development and to speed up economic transformation. Currently, Changzhou Science and Education Town is focusing on the science and technology service system, and the innovation and entrepreneurship system, calling for more talents with innovation capacity, and the Town sincerely looks forward to cooperation with Shell to achieve mutual benefit, said Xu.

Fok has joined Shell in 2012 to help Shell Innovation make the transition towards a more open innovation approach. He gave high praise to the innovation and entrepreneurship environment of Changzhou Science and Education Town, and introduced the progress of Shell’s innovation center.

Both sides hoped to create better conditions and opportunities for exchanges and cooperation in the areas of technological innovation and UNISPAR programs.
