On August 18, the 3.5GW high-efficiency module production facility of Suntech New Energy’s ￥700 million expansion project was officially put into operation in Wujin National High-tech Industrial Zone (WIZ).

The project, equipped brand-new automation equipment, will greatly improve the production efficiency. Its new production line can mass produce high-power and high-performance modules with over 450W power rating. At the same time, a 45,000 square meter warehouse will be built to facilitate 24-hour shipment via containers and flatbed trucking.

Tang Jun, president of Suntech New Energy Investment Co., Ltd, said that the Changzhou production center will continue to introduce the latest technologies to build a national-level intelligent manufacturing pilot project and to further improve product reliability.

According to the New Energy Outlook (NEO) Report 2020 released by Bloomberg New Energy Finance (BNEF), Suntech Group ranked 7th in the most valuable brands by virtue of its excellent shipment data and sound financial status.
