During the period of the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan,” Changzhou is willing to take the lead to realize modernization, while power protection plays an essential role in materializing this objective. On the morning of January 17th, a delegation headed by the Party Secretary Mr. Fan Yanqing and Mayor Mr. Yao Xiaodong visited the State Grid Jiangsu Power Supply Company in Nanjing and discussed about the future of Changzhou’s power supply industry with the company’s executives.
　　In 2011, Changzhou Power Supply Company completed a total investment of RMB 3.195 billion yuan, and Changzhou Grid additionally achieved 4.793 million kVA of main transformer capacity at or above 35 kV and 540.5 km of transmission lines. Meanwhile, a series of activities, such as “100 Executives to Contact 100 Companies” and “100 Community Managers to Visit People’s Homes,” have been carried out, and the first efficiency services team of the State Grid system has been set up.  
　　Party Secretary Fan extended gratitude to Jiangsu Power Supply Company for their support to Changzhou. Mayor Yao evaluated the achievements of Changzhou Power Supply Company as “good support, excellent integration and outstanding service.” Shan Yecai, General Manager of Jiangsu Power Supply Company stated that they will fully support the development of Changzhou Grid during the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan.” It is reported that Changzhou Power Supply Company will further increase investment and accelerate construction, which is expected to add 17.69 million kVA of main transformer capacity at or above 35 kV and 1,528 km of transmission lines, with a total investment of RMB 13 billion yuan.
