On the morning of October 12, an investment promotion conference was held at Jiangsu Changzhou Economic Development, releasing 18 programs in the service industry. 

Among these programs, the Dongfang Xincheng (Oriental New Town) project, covering a central business district, the high-speed rail town and the area of Shengzhuang village, includes facilities for businesses, innovation, research, development, intelligent manufacturing, green residential area, high-quality education, and senior care.

Other programs include dedicated centers for financial services, scientific and technological development, artificial intelligence, and talent pool. There are also large shopping malls and commercial streets to be constructed.

In 2020, Changzhou Economic Development Zone achieved 3.5 billion yuan in services above the designated scale, up 19.4 percent from a year earlier. 

Going forward, the development zone will, based on Changzhou’s “532” strategy, pursue balanced development of industries and living conditions, and promote online-offline integration in multiple sectors.
