In the year of 2014, the value-added output of culture industry in Tianning District totaled 2.39 billion yuan, an increase of 21%.

Changzhou Press Plaza and A Dream World for Education and Entertainment have been completed and put into operation. The construction of Hengtang River Wetland Park has been commenced. The projects of Qingguo Lane and Qian Hou Bei An historic conservation district are in rapid progress. The projects of Phoenix Station industrial civilization corridor and the Expo Park for Chinese Textiles are carried out according to schedule.

Compared to 2013, Tianning has established more categories of industry sectors based on the three major sectors including cultural and creative design, culture and arts service, and cultural leisure and entertainment, forming an inclusive industrial system with unique features.

Tianning has also introduced the Measures for the Use of Boot Funds for Development of Cultural Industry in Tianning District. 25 projects applied for the funds, nine of which have been approved and granted 1.7 million yuan in total.

Currently, the Statistics Division of Tianning District is conducting a census on cultural enterprises.
