The collaborative effort between Changzhou and Shenzhen took a significant step forward on April 13 with the official launch of the Changzhou West Taihu Lake (Shenzhen) Collaborative Innovation Center. This pioneering initiative aims to establish a robust innovation ecosystem by fostering extensive cooperation between the two cities.
Located at Medcaptain Medical Technology Co., Ltd. in Shenzhen, the center will host personnel from the Changzhou West Taihu Lake Science and Technology Industrial Park, who will facilitate deep engagement with Shenzhen-based enterprises. Their primary role will be to catalyze industrial innovation synergy and provide support services for Shenzhen enterprises operating in Changzhou.
The Changzhou West Taihu Lake Science and Technology Industrial Park has been actively enhancing its connections with Shenzhen, with an increasing number of entrepreneurs from Shenzhen showing keen interest in the park. Notable investments, such as Medcaptain's commitment of one billion yuan to establish the Yangtze River Delta Digestive Endoscopy International Innovation Industrial Park in 2022, underscore the ambition to create premier production hubs and internationally acclaimed innovation centers.
Twelve projects from Shenzhen, including Smart Biotech, Tianmu New Energy and Protgen Medical Technology, were successfully established in the park in 2023, with three more signed in the current year, namely Changsheng Innovation Technology, Hydrogen Energy and VitaVitro Biotech. Plans are underway to develop industrial carriers covering over 500,000 square meters, focusing on future industries including synthetic biology, cell and gene therapy, hydrogen and new energy storage, and graphene carbon materials.
The inauguration ceremony featured informative presentations on the investment environment, with representatives from entities such as Shenzhen Capital Group Co., Ltd., Medcaptain Medical Technology Co., Ltd., and Green Pine Capital emphasizing the collaborative spirit and potential for mutual prosperity between Changzhou and Shenzhen.
