On July 11, it was learned from the survey of Changzhou Investigation Team of the National Bureau of statistics that from January to June, the consumer price index (CPI) of Changzhou reached 101.9, an increase of 1.9 percent compared with the same period last year, respectively 0.5 and 0.1 percentage points lower than the national and provincial average increase, and 1.6 percentage points lower than target of annual regulation.
Due to the rising labor costs, price increase in some services have been normalized. From January to June, prices of services rose 2.0 percent, pulling the overall index up 0.7 percent, and contributing 36.8% of the CPI.
