On June 24, Changzhou Mingyuan Animal Husbandry Co., Ltd., with an investment of 120 million yuan, laid its foundation stone in Qianzhuang village, Jincheng town, Jintan district. This project includes the development of 266 hectares of pasture in a year, with which the company will be able to take care of 3,000 cows. The capacity is expected to reach 18,000 tons of fresh milk annually.

In October 2018, Zhejiang Yiming Food Co., Ltd. invested 680 million yuan in Baita village, Jincheng town and established the Jiangsu Yiming Food Co., Ltd. The project has now entered the stage of equipment installation and commissioning. After completion, the first-phase project will have an annual output of 700 tons of dairy products and 1.2 million servings of baked products.

Changzhou Mingyuan is one of Jiangsu Yiming's projects to form a “complete industrial chain.”It will build a modern-style pasture that integrates sustainable agriculture, tourism, leisure and sightseeing, and science popularization. The pasture is divided into areas for visitors, staff, production, manure treatment and feed supply, adopting intelligent information technology to achieve fine management of dairy farming.

Zhu Like, chairman of Zhejiang Yiming, said that the company has completed the planning and design for a modern parent-child tourism and holiday resort project with an investment of 180 million yuan. The construction will begin in the first half of next year. After completion, it is expected to receive 500,000 tourists annually.

Zhou Lei, secretary of the CPC Branch of Qianzhuang Village, said that either forage production or pasture tourism would bring great opportunities for villagers to increase their income and advance the collective economy.
