On March 28th, H.E. Grasiano Nyaguse, minister of the Embassy of the Republic of Zimbabwe to China, visited Changzhou to attend the opening ceremony of the Rongzhi Agricultural and Sideline Products Import Trade Center and sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Changzhou Guorong Agriculture Co. Ltd. Huan Heng, deputy mayor of Changzhou, warmly received Nyaguse and his delegation.
During their meeting, Huan provided an insightful overview of Changzhou's recent economic and social achievements, highlighting the city's dedication to supporting the Belt & Road Initiative (BRI) that has been yielding fruitful results. He expressed his desire to further strengthen win-win cooperation with Zimbabwe and to see the import trade center of Guorong Agriculture become a signature project of BRI.
Nyaguse acknowledged that Zimbabwe highly values its economic and trade ties with China and is keen to promote relevant businesses to enter the Chinese market. He expressed his confidence in future cooperation with Changzhou and hoped to see more projects launched across various fields.
In recent years, Guorong Agriculture has proactively responded to the Belt and Road Initiative by seeking investment opportunities in Zimbabwe. The establishment of its import trade center will not only strengthen trade exchanges between the two sides but also enrich the consumption market for agricultural and sideline products in both locations.
