On April 16, the 11th Jiangsu Horticultural Exposition opened to the public in Nanjing, the capital city of Jiangsu province. Themed with ecological gardening, green development and multicultural integration, the expo will run until May 16 this year.

Jiang Feng, vice mayor of Changzhou Municipal People’s Government, attended the opening ceremony and visited the exhibition garden of Changzhou.

Seated in the Garden Expo Park in Jiangning district, the expo includes five core pavilions, showcasing flower arrangement, bonsai, rockery, floral decoration and home gardening.

Covering an area of about 5,400 square meters, the exhibition garden of Changzhou is a reproduction of Yiyuan Garden, former residence of Zhao Xiongzhao (1663-1720), a Changzhou scholar who won first place at an imperial examination in the Qing Dynasty.  

The floral decoration booth of Changzhou displays the city’s practice and achievements in progress of building a national ecological garden city.
