Recently, the Information Exchange Meeting for the first half of 2014 was held in the conference room of Changzhou Municipal Foreign Affairs Office. Sima Shuanglong, deputy director of the Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, the staff of Foreign Related Affairs Section of the Foreign Affairs Office, and 11 local colleges’ foreign affairs chiefs attended the meeting.

College representatives reported their progress in employment of foreign teachers, management of overseas students, international student exchanges, educational cooperation programs, etc. in the first half of 2014, as well as the working plans for the second half of year. Sima made an address at the meeting and highly evaluated this platform of information exchange for it has improved local colleges’ ability of emergence response, enhanced information sharing among the participants, and promoted the city’s international exchanges in fields of science, culture, education, etc. In the second half of the year, the Municipal Foreign Affairs Office will further promote a series of service activities and make full use of its resources to enhance the cooperation and exchanges between local colleges in the progress of industrialization of higher education, said Sima.
