Recently, the 7th “Color China” Award Ceremony was held in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. The 2011/2012 China Color Award was presented, and Changzhou Planning Bureau Wujin Branch won the Color Application Award.

    In 2008, under the impetus of the local planning section, Wujin District, together with the China Academy of Fine Arts, made a special color planning for the city. This program, as an "experimental field" of 46 square kilometers, highlights the poetic characteristics of the watercolor. Parks, playgrounds and green landscapes presents the cold color of "water"; while communities and residential areas presents the warm color of "flower." In addition, under the “baton” of color planning, Wujin’s "city furnitures," such as telephone poles, lampposts, kiosks, public security guard posts, bus stops and mobile garbage bins, are all dressed in “uniform,” changing from white, green or black into gray-green, a coordinated color of the planning concepts.
