On May 30, Governor Xu Kunlin of Jiangsu Province held a video conference in Nanjing with a delegation led by Mr. Lakshmi Mittal, the executive chairman of ArcelorMittal, who was visiting Changzhou for inspection.

Governor Xu welcomed Lakshmi Mittal and his delegation, expressing appreciation for their visit and investment investigation in Jiangsu. He highlighted Jiangsu's strong economy, open policies, and the contributions of foreign-funded enterprises to technological innovation and industrial upgrading in the province. Lakshmi Mittal acknowledged Jiangsu's support and praised the province's solid industrial foundation, scientific resources, and favorable business environment. He expressed commitment to cooperation in achieving carbon neutral goals and contributing to Jiangsu's high-quality development.

Mayor Sheng Lei of Changzhou affirmed the city's market-oriented, rule-of-law, and internationalized business environment. She pledged support for ArcelorMittal's development in Changzhou, aiming for win-win cooperation.

During their visit, the delegation explored key locations in Changzhou, including the BYD Changzhou Base and Changzhou Port, to gain insights into the city's industrial development, infrastructure, and investment environment.

Li Lin, a member of the CPC Changzhou Municipal Committee and executive vice mayor, and Zhou Chengtao, the secretary general of the Municipal Government, also participated in the activities.
