September 22nd is World Carfree Day (WCD), an event promoting improvement of mass transit, cycling and walking, and the development of communities where jobs are closer to home and where shopping is within walking distance.
This year, Changzhou Municipal Administration of Environmental Protection, Zhonglou District Administration of Environmental Protection, Changzhou Radio & TV Station, Changzhou Daily, Changzhou Evening News, Xinhua Daily, Yangzi Evening News, and some other mainstream media co-organized the Second WCD Greening Cycling. The cycling route starts from Dingtanghe Wetland Park and concludes at the Low-carbon Science Park in Xinbei District, passing through Xintang Greenway, Taishan Greenway, Zaojiang Greenway, Qingfeng Park, etc.
More than 60 netizens and people from all over the city participated in the activity. The purpose of this event is to spread the idea of Co-building an Eco-green City and a Beautiful Home for Everyone.
