Co-sponsored by the Changzhou Municipal Taiwan Affairs Office, Changzhou Association of Taiwan Investment Enterprises, The New Year Party for Taiwan Entrepreneurs was held on the evening of January 17 in Howard Johnson Kaina Hotel. City leaders Yan Li, Zou Hongguo, Dai Yuan, Cai Jun, Shao Ming, Zhu Jianwei as well as more than 400 Taiwanentrepreneurs and their families gathered for welcoming the new year.

    It is reported that in 2012, the city newly approved 31 Taiwan-funded enterprises, an increase of 6.9%; the total investment reached 763 million US dollars, a year-on-year growth of 73.13%; the contracted registration capital reached 484 million US dollars, a year-on-year growth of 35.61%. The project with the total investment of 10 million US dollars achieved 17. In the year, 20 Taiwan-funded enterprises increased the capital, amounting to 174 million US dollars.
