The 20th Games of Jiangsu Province opened in Taizhou on the evening of August 28.

Wu Zhenglong, secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee and chairperson of the Standing Committee of Jiangsu Provincial People’s Congress, attended the opening ceremony and announced the opening of the Games. Xu Kunlin, deputy secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee and governor of Jiangsu, delivered the opening speech. Zhang Yizhen, chairperson of the CPPCC Jiangsu Committee, attended the opening ceremony.

Team Changzhou is made up of 1,692 athletes who will participate in 33 competitions and nearly 800 events.

As of August 28, Changzhou has bagged 193.5 gold, 142 silver, and 138 bronze medals, ranking among the best in total points.

The closing ceremony will be held on September 5.
