On the afternoon of September 14th, the Chuncheon art and cultural exchange group, South Korea, visited Changzhou. Vice Mayor Fang Guoqiang met with the delegation in the Administration Center. The delegation also presented a performance together with Changzhou Song & Dance Ensemble.
Chuncheon is the capital of Gangwon Province, South Korea. The city lies in the north of the county, located in a basin formed by the Soyang River and Han River. It is a popular destination among east Asian tourists as it was featured in the popular Korean drama Winter Sonata. It is where the resort island of Namiseom is located.
Chuncheon and Changzhou became international friendship cities in April 2011. Ever since then, the two sides have been enhancing friendly exchanges by sending art and cultural delegations to each other’s city every year.
