On January 4, Yang Fen, member of the Standing Committee of CPC Changzhou Municipal Committee and director of the United Front Work Department of CPC Changzhou Municipal Committee, and Huan Heng, deputy mayor of Changzhou Municipal People’s Government, visited a number of the Taiwan-funded enterprises in Changzhou, including Bohan Education Group, Yong Qi (China) Bicycle Industrial Corporation, Aplus Semiconductor Technologies Co., Ltd., and Changzhou Xurong Knitting and Dyeing Co., Ltd.
The mission led by Yang and Huan learned about these enterprises’ current status and the challenges they face. They appreciated the Taiwan-funded companies’ contribution to Changzhou’s development and encouraged them to tap into the opportunities brought by Changzhou’s “532” development blueprint and Twin Lakes Innovation Zone project.
They also urged the city’s relevant departments to keep playing the role of a facilitator and trouble-shooter to enhance support for Taiwan-funded enterprises’ development in Changzhou.
Data showed that from January to October 2022, there were 37 Taiwan-funded businesses newly registered in Changzhou, a year-on-year increase of 68.18 percent. The sales revenue of Taiwan-funded enterprises across the city totaled 26.528 billion yuan, up 3.48 percent over the same ten months of 2021.
