The Changzhou-Taiwan Display Driver Integrated Circuit (DDIC) Industry Matchmaking Conference was held recently. Representatives of Taiwan compatriots in business and technology sectors came to Changzhou from Taiwan, Shanghai, Suzhou and Nanjing, participating in the conference together with the local representatives from relevant enterprises, venture capital firms and industrial parks.

The conference was hosted by the Taiwan Affairs Office and Commerce Bureau of Changzhou Municipal People’s Government. Its purpose is to build a cooperation platform for Changzhou and Taiwan’s DDIC industry experts and participants, promote the integrated development of relevant supply chains, and upgrade Changzhou’s DDIC industry.

In recent years, an increasing number of projects in Taiwan’s emerging industries and advanced manufacturing industry have settled within Changzhou. These projects, especially the Taiwan-invested plants that have been put into mass production, plays a positive role in supporting and improving Changzhou’s industrial development, as well as injecting new impetus into the city’s Taiwan-invested enterprises.  

At the conference, two cooperation projects were signed respectively between Kunshan Jiwei Microelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. and Changzhou Mingyao Semiconductor Technology Co., Ltd., and between Changzhou U.G.OLED Technology Co., Ltd. and Longhutang Sub-district, Xinbei, Changzhou.
