At the beginning of February, a mission of the Foreign Affairs Office (FAO) of Changzhou Municipal People’s Government led by director Zhang Yu and deputy director Chen Xiangnan visited the Consulates General of Israel, Vietnam, Austria, and Japan, as well as some other foreign representatives in Shanghai.
Zhang Yu met with Ravit Baer, the Israeli consul-general in Shanghai, and discussed this year’s plans for multi-dimensional cooperation and the China-Israel Changzhou Innovation Park (CICP).
In the meeting with Nguyen The Tung, the Vietnamese consul-general in Shanghai, both sides expressed willingness to deepen cooperation in industries, trade, investment, and many other fields.
In the meeting with Helmut Rakowitsch, the Austrian consul-general in Shanghai, the two sides discussed the plans for mutual visits, friendship-city relationship, and other areas for cooperation.
In the meeting with Yuichiro Mori, the deputy consul-general representing Japan in Shanghai, both sides expressed confidence in future cooperation regarding investment, finance, smart manufacturing, and rural revitalization.
On February 2, Zhang Yu attended the AHK-Shanghai Dialogue 2023, during which he met with German consul-general Pit Heltmann and the representatives of the Shanghai offices of the German Chamber of Commerce, North Rhine-Westphalia, Lower Saxony, and Hannover. They were able to have an in-depth discussion on plans for the Jiangsu-Germany Dialogue 2023 in Changzhou.
