Recently, the Innovation Center of Advanced Battery Technologies and the Industry 4.0 Smart Manufacturing Innovation Center were officially established at Tianmu Lake Institute of Advanced Energy Storage Technologies (TIES), Jiangsu Zhongguancun Science Park in Liyang.
At the opening ceremony, the two innovation centers signed a total of 14 strategic partnership agreements with China’s well-known institutes, enterprises and universities such as the Institute of Applied Research on Intelligent Science & Technology, Shanghai CRRC Ro-Intelligent System Co., Ltd., Kunshan Chuangbao Electronics Co., Ltd., University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, and Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
The two innovation centers were jointly established by the Administration Committee of Jiangsu Zhongguancun Science Park, the TIES and Siemens Industry Software (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (SISW) based on an agreement signed among the three parties in April last year.
Ye Minghua, acting mayor of Liyang, Changzhou, stated at the opening ceremony that the two innovation centers, as part of the major action plan for Liyang to boost the innovation-driven new energy industry, are expected to make breakthroughs in the industry’s core technologies, so as to provide a strong support for the development of Liyang’s lithium-ion battery industry.
Leo Liang, Siemens PLM Software Senior Vice President and Managing Director for Greater China, said that Siemens will continue to increase its technological investment in the two innovation centers, as well as introducing more business partners to support the development of Liyang’s lithium-ion battery industry and local manufacturers.
