The 8th National Conference on Number Theory was held in the Jintan district of Changzhou, the hometown of China’s famous mathematician Hua Luogeng, from June 26 to June 30.

The conference attracted more than 180 intellectual participants from the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Tsinghua University, and other colleges and institutes across the country. 

The five-day event includes over 60 paper presentations and themed seminars. 

In particular, CAS academician Prof. Ye Xiangdong and Tsinghua University’s Prof. Feng Keqin gave lectures at Hua Luogeng and Duan Yucai Middle Schools to reveal the beauty of mathematics and inspire students’ mathematical minds.

The National Conference on Number Theory is China's largest math event in this field. It celebrates and promotes research advances of experts, scholars, and graduate students specializing in number theory.
