The State Council of the People's Republic of China has unveiled the public holidays calendar for 2024, offering insight into the upcoming year's official holidays. Notably, during the Spring Festival (commonly known as Chinese New Year) and the National Day holiday (often referred to as 'Golden Week'), employees can anticipate extended breaks lasting eight days and seven days, respectively.
However, it's important to highlight that Chinese New Year's Eve, falling on February 9, 2024, is not designated as an official holiday. Nevertheless, employers are encouraged to grant their staff a paid day off on this day.
