On the afternoon of March 31st, Saidkamol Agzamkhodjaev, Consul General of Uzbekistan in Shanghai, led a delegation to Changzhou and held the investment promotion seminar of Uzbekistan. Deputy mayor Fang Guoqiang attended the event.

Nearly 20 Changzhou enterprises attended the seminar. Saidkamol Agzamkhodjaev briefed the overall investment environment, preferential policies and investment opportunities of Uzbekistan.

The participating companies from Uzbekistan are involved in cotton and yarn production and trade, investment consulting, etc.

The economic and trade cooperation between China and Uzbekistan has been booming in recent years. As of December 2015, three Uzbekistan companies have received investment approval from Changzhou. The total export-import volume between Changzhou and Uzbekistan reached 45.61 million US dollars last year, an increase of 7.4% year-on-year. Currently, Jinsheng Group has invested in a project in Uzbekistan, with a total investment of 55 million US dollars.
