On October 22^nd, The First China-Thailand Symposium co-sponsored by Changzhou University and Thailand National Institute of Development Administration (DINA) was held in Changzhou University. About 40 experts and scholars from DINA, Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya Rajabhat University, Chiang Rai Rajabhat University, Peking University, Yunnan University and Changzhou University attended the meeting.

The participants had an in-depth discussion about the prospects of bilateral cooperation, innovation and entrepreneurship, educational and cultural cooperation and exchanges and other issues under the background of Sino-Thai friendly cooperation for 40 years and the idea of China’s ‘One Belt, One Road’ initiative.

2015 marks the 40th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Thailand. Both sides hope to take this opportunity to further expand cooperation in education, culture, trade, tourism and other aspects. This symposium will not only improve the internationalization process of Changzhou University, but also help to promote the city image of Changzhou. It is reported that DINA and Changhou University are planning to hold the second session of the symposium in Bangkok, Thailand the next year.
