Since the Changzhou-Shanghai Economic Cooperation Month 2016 was opened in Shanghai, Zhonglou District has carried out a series of economic and trade cooperation activities there. On March 14th , Zhonglou District held another conference in Shanghai to promote the Changzhou Baidu Big Data Industrial Park. Deputy mayor Li Xiaoping presided the conference and delivered a speech.
Baidu, Inc., incorporated on January 18, 2000, is a Chinese web services company headquartered at the Baidu Campus in Beijing's Haidian District. Baidu offers many services, including a Chinese search engine for websites, audio files and images, which is the largest Chinese search engine in the world. Changzhou has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Baidu to carry out unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) projects and smart city programs. The Changzhou Baidu Big Data Industrial Park, with the first-phase investment of 5 billion yuan, is located in Zhonglou Economic Development Zone.
The conference attracted more than 100 participating enterprises. At the conference, 10 representative companies and Zhonglou Economic Development Zone signed letters of intent for settling in the industrial park.
