On the afternoon of June 10, the Provincial Science and Technology Award Conference was held by the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of CPC and the Provincial Government in Nanjing to honor the winners for the year 2019. Provincial Party Secretary Lou Qinjian attended the conference and awarded prizes to the winners. Governor Wu Zhenglong delivered a speech. Qi Jiabin, secretary of the Changzhou Municipal Committee of CPC, attended the event through video conferencing.

The 2019 annual award includes 45 first prizes, 81 second prizes and 147 third prizes. 10 young people won the Provincial Science and Technology Award for Youth, while eight companies won the Provincial Award for Enterprise in Technology Innovation. Seven foreign experts won the Provincial Award for International Science and Technology Cooperation.

Changzhou has 32 projects awarded at the conference, including 4 first prize winners, reaching a record high. The award-winning projects in Changzhou are involved in agriculture, advanced manufacturing, biomedicine, new energy and new materials. Besides, Changzhou also has one winner of the Science and Technology Award for Youth, one winner of the Award for Enterprise in Technology Innovation, and another winner of the Award for International Science and Technology Cooperation.

City leaders Cai Jun, Zhang Chunfu, Han Jiuyun, Zhou Changming, Fang Guoqiang, Chen Jianguo, Du Rongliang, Li Lin and He Yuqing attended the video conference.
