Yesterday, China-EU Green Building Materials Innovation Forum and the 6th China Green Building Materials Conference was held in Wujin, Changzhou.
Organized by Wujin Green Building Industry Demonstration Zone and China Building Material Test and Certification Group (CTC), the event is themed with achieving green and low-carbon development through innovation and cooperation.
About 300 representatives from the sector of green building materials and green architecture and design participated in the event.
Liu Lihua, deputy director of the Committee on Economic Affairs from the CPPCC National Committee, Yan Li, vice chairman of the CPPCC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, and Bai Yunping, chairwoman of the CPPCC Changzhou Municipal Committee, attended the event.
Li Lin, vice mayor of Changzhou and secretary of the CPC Wujin District Committee, delivered opening remarks.
At the forum on the morning, Octavian Stamate, counsellor of the EU Delegation to China, Christina Anderskov, sector counsellor for Sustainable Urban Development at the Royal Danish Embassy in Beijing, and Max Pfeiler, head of Technology Office of the Austrian Embassy in Beijing, gave their remarks.
In addition, the Sino-EU Green Innovation Park and the Sino-EU Center for International Cooperation and Training were unveiled at the forum. Wujin Green Building Industry Demonstration Zone signed MOUs respectively with ZDH, European Wood, and Arad Free Trade Zone.
Chen Yiming, vice chairman and secretary general of the China Real Estate Association, and Prof. Miao Changwen, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, delivered keynote speeches on the research and application of green building materials.
