On November 15, Novelis project laid the foundation stone in Changzhou Hi-tech Zone with the investment of nearly 100 million U.S. dollars in first phase. It is expected to be put into operation in the end of 2014 with an annual capacity of 120,000 tons and the annual sales income of 450 million US dollars.

    Novelis is an enterprise specialized in high-end aluminum sheet and foil products for the global automotive, transportation, packaging, construction, industrial, electronics and printing markets. The business covers 11 countries and the sales revenues reached 10.6 billion U.S. dollars in 2011.

    The main products of Novelis (China) Co., Ltd. include auto body and automobile hub. The second-phase project involves the investment of 1 billion U.S. dollars and covers a total area of about 910 acres. The business scope includes aluminum recycling, aluminum ingot melting and molding, and processing of aluminum rolled sheet. After the completion of the entire project, the annual sales income will reach 2 billion U.S. dollars.
