In early January, the Changzhou Public Opinion Research Center conducted a citywide survey of 400 randomly selected residents aged 18 years and older. The respondents were interviewed over the telephone on the level of satisfaction with the city鈥檚 six initiatives to ensure people鈥檚 wellbeing.

The survey showed that satisfaction has increased significantly among the public, with 86.1 percent of the respondents satisfied with healthcare, 84.2 percent satisfied with childcare, 83.8 satisfied with elderly care, 82.8 percent satisfied with education, and 80.4 percent satisfied with housing.

More than 85 percent of respondents in the age group 30-44 years were satisfied with all six initiatives.

Respondents with a master鈥檚 degree or higher had the highest satisfaction level among the different groups.

There was a small difference in the level of satisfaction between urban and rural groups. The rural group鈥檚 satisfaction level with elderly care was 1.7 percentage points higher than the urban group, while the urban group had a higher satisfaction level with the other five initiatives.
