On March 31st, Cuban Consul General in Shanghai Ms. Lisbet Quesada Luna and her entourage, accompanied by Ms. Xu Lulu, deputy director of the US & Canadian Department of Jiangsu Provincial Foreign Affairs Office, visited Changzhou to promote friendly cooperation between the two sides.

At noon that day, Vice Mayor Mr. Fang Guoqiang met with the delegation in the Administration Center. Fang briefed the guests on the economic and social situation of Changzhou, and particularly introduced the development and advantages in education, culture, health, sports and tourism. Luna introduced the basic situation of Cuba and the Chinese-Cuban friendship. She also expressed the will to strengthen ties and deepen cooperation with Changzhou, especially in the areas of student exchange program, biotechnology, etc.

In the afternoon, the picture and video exhibition commemorating the 170th anniversary of the Chinese-Cuban friendship was opened in the Library of Changzhou University. After the opening ceremony, Luna delivered a lecture on the history of Chinese-Cuban friendship and introduced the basic national conditions and historical evolution of Cuba.
