On June 20, Changzhou hosted an event titled "Government-Banking-Business Seminar: Unlocking Changzhou's Potential as the New Energy Capital with International Banking Services." The seminar, sponsored by the Jiangsu Office of China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission (CBIRC) and Changzhou Municipal People's Government, brought together representatives from 30 foreign-invested banks in China and over 40 local enterprises involved in the new energy sector and international trade.
Vice Mayor Huan Heng and Deputy Director Li Jinhui from CBIRC Jiangsu Office were in attendance.
This event aimed to showcase the allure of Changzhou and the future prospects of its new energy sector through insights and perspectives from foreign banks. It also aimed to foster collaboration among the government, banking institutions, and businesses for a shared future.
During the seminar, experts and senior officials from the China branches of HSBC, Hang Seng Bank, Standard Chartered, Bank SinoPac, and Citibank delivered keynote speeches.
