On July 20, Changzhou People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CZPAFFC) held the “Fighting COVID-19 Together” short video contest for foreigners in Changzhou. Supported by district associations, local colleges and foreign enterprises, the contest attracted participants from eleven countries including Bangladesh, Botswana, Ethiopia, Kazakhstan, South Korea, Mongolia, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Tanzania, Yemen and Zambia.
In their videos, expats in Changzhou shared what they have seen and experienced in the fight against COVID-19. These videos not only recorded how effectively the Changzhou government has contained the spread of the epidemic, but also showed how sincerely China and some other countries have been supporting each other. The participants, whether they are at home or abroad, said that this abrupt pandemic has made them realize that mankind is a community with a shared future, and the world must work together to confront COVID-19. At the same time, they expressed admiration for the Chinese government’s decisive response to the epidemic and high-tech measures adopted for guaranteeing health and safety, and expressed gratitude to the Chinese government and people for the good care they were receiving. At the end of each video, everyone said enthusiastically that "We are together" in this fight.
The winning works of this contest will be selected to Jiangsu People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (JSPAFFC) for a provincial short video competition.
