On September 25, the 7th World Bonsai Friendship Federation Convention and the 12th Asia-pacific Bonsai and Suiseki Convention & Exhibition were opened in the Baosheng Garden of Maoshan Mountain in Jintan. This is the first time that China hosted world-class bonsai events known as the “Olympics of Bonsai”.

Mr. Yan Li, party secretary of Changzhou, Mr. Zou Hongguo, chairman of CPPCC Changzhou Committee, Mr. Fang Guoqiang, vice mayor of Changzhou, and Mr. Hu Yunhua, president of World Bonsai Friendship Federation, attended the opening ceremony.

Over 300 foreign guests from more than 30 countries and regions worldwide participated in the conventions.
