From October 12 to 13, a Yancheng government delegation headed by Party chief of Yancheng Cao Lubao visited Changzhou.

Party chief of Changzhou Chen Jinhu, deputy Party chief and acting mayor Sheng Lei, chairwoman of the CPPCC Changzhou Committee Bai Yunping, and secretary of the Committee’s Leading Party Members’ Group Daiyuan, accompanied the delegation on the inspection tour.

Chen Jinhu warmly welcomed the delegation. He said that Changzhou and Yancheng, both members of the Yangtze River Delta (YRD) Megalopolis, have maintained years of friendly exchanges and mutually beneficial cooperation while giving full play to each other’s strengths.

The just held 13th Changzhou Municipal Congress of CPC has pointed out that in the next five years, Changzhou will grow towards an international start city of intelligent manufacturing and a pivotal hub in YRD, said Chen.

He looked forward to furthering cooperation with Yancheng in extensive areas amid YRD’s integrated development and making more contributions to the overall development of Jiangsu province.

Cao Lubao expressed gratitude to Changzhou’s long-term support and assistance, stating that Yancheng can learn from many of Changzhou’s practices in pursuing high-quality development with continuous breakthroughs.

In recent years, the two cities have thoroughly implemented the guiding principles of President Xi Jinping’s important speeches and Jiangsu province’s strategic plan for south-north cooperation, said Cao.

He mentioned that Changzhou-Yancheng Industrial Park, taking the lead in Jiangsu among intercity cooperation parks, has seen many manufacturing enterprises from Changzhou grow bigger and stronger in Yancheng.  

Cao expressed the hope that the two sides will yield more cooperation results and further integrate into the planned developments of Jiangsu and YRD. 

During their stay in Changzhou, the delegates visited Changzhou Xingyu Automotive Lighting Systems Co., Ltd., Sino-Swiss (Changzhou) International Industrial Innovation Park, United Imaging (Changzhou) Healthcare Co., Ltd., China-Israel Changzhou Innovation Park, Jiangsu Hengli Hydraulic Co., Ltd., New United Group, and West Taihu Lake International Healthcare Industry Park.

 City leaders Liang Yibo, Ji Peidong, Jiang Feng, Qiao Junjie, Fang Guoqiang, and Zhang Yaogang attended relevant activities.
