On January 5, a delegation of the Bank of Jiangsu headed by Xia Ping, chairman of the board, and Ji Ming, president of the bank, visited Changzhou.

Party Secretary Qi Jiabin and Mayor Chen Jinhu received the delegation. They said that Changzhou has set the goal of building an international star city of intelligent manufacturing in the hinterland of Yangtze River Delta, and is now on the path of achieving socialist modernization. Going forward, the city will need more financial support from the Bank of Jiangsu in the promotion of Star City Initiative, said Qi and Chen, stating that the CPC Changzhou Municipal Committee and the Municipal People’s Government will continuously improve the city’s financial and business environment.

Xia Ping appreciated Changzhou’s economic development and business-friendly environment. He said that the Bank of Jiangsu will keep up with Changzhou’s development strategy and support the city’s progress toward high-quality development and socialist modernization.  

City leaders Fang Guoqiang and Liang Yibo were present at the meeting.
